Ive been sitting here staring at my computer monitor trying to come up with something intelligent to write about myself. If youve never done it, you should try. Its hard. Not that I dont have anything to say, but if you scan the internet, it seems every photographer on the planet talks about their dedication to capturing the moment, blah, blah, blah. I definitely dont want to come off as unoriginal, or a mold of mainstream thought. YUK! I am a passionate person who enjoys a few things that are very important to me. First, I am passionate about my wife and 3 children. Nothing is more important to me than my family and our lives together. Second, I am passionate about my life. I enjoy living life and trying to be open to what life has to offer. We only go around once, so I make it all it can be. Third, I am passionate about my work. Admittedly, it took me a while to get used to the notion of photographing people. I started out shooting things that didnt move or talk. In some ways, it is easier. But, over time, I realized that people are so much more interesting than inanimate objects. Its the fact that people talk and move that make them interesting. And, whats more interesting is that no two people talk and move the same way. So, its forever a pursuit of how to engage with a particular subject. Yes, you are my subjects, mowwwhhhhaaaaa!
For other stuff about myself:
my favorite color is green, according to some people, i love peanut butter a little too much, but i think i like it just right, pinot noir is my favorite wine (we affectionately call it Black Peanut), if i could get paid in wine and peanut butter, i would, i love the beach, therefore, i live at it, i like big dogs, therefore have two of them, i like to surf (long boards rule!), i dig music, and play the guitar when i have time, i love to cook.

Natalie & Luke did something so cool. We did the bride and groom portraits all before the wedding. This made the rest of the day very easy-going. They also had a bag-piper at their wedding. I have to thank Andrena from Andrena Photography for referring Natalie and Luke to me.

I came upon this skate ramp, and got a photo of spiderman on the skate ramp. He didn’t want me to photograph him at all. He actually threw his stakeboard at me.

I am in love with the picture of them at the old house in SJC. Old houses are my favorite places to photograph. Well, considering I live in a dinky old hick town, I guess there isn’t much choice.
