Watching this literally brought me to tears. Unbelievable…

Time is so precious and so short.

I NEVER KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT RANDY UNTIL I CAME ACROSS HIS LAST LECTURE RECOMMENDED TO ME BY A GOOD FRIEND. HE TRULY SPOKE TO MY HEART OR HEARTS! AND I AM SO SADDENED TO LEARN OF HIS DEATH. I AM ALSO VERY ENCOURAGED IN THAT HE LIVES ON AND WILL REMAIN WITH US UNTIL THE END OF TIME. I THINK A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY ABOUT “TIME” AND MY OWN DEATH BECAUSE OF HIM–IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A MORBID THING. RANDY TAUGHT ME THAT. HE ALSO REMINDED ME TO STAY CONNECTED WITH MY CHILDHOOD DREAMS. HE WAS TRULY INSPIRATIONAL! MY CONDOLENCES AND LOVE TO HIS FAMILY.

I found your site while doing a search for information on Randy (Diane Sawyer’s Documentary inspired me.)

Just wanted to let you know that “Harpo, Inc.” has blocked Randy Pousch’s touching speach on U-Tube where you refer to it in your opening page. It is no longer available for the public to see. If you have it transcribed, or at least quotes from Randy…that would be a wonderful alternative. What a wonderful man…I’m sorry I never knew him.

Wow how powerful, how true. It is amazing someone you never meet or seen can have inpact on your life. My heart goes out to the family.

    Hi Cynthia,

Thank you for letting me know. I updated the link to the speech he gave at Carnegie Mellon, which is basically the same speech, just longer and more profound than what he did on Oprah (which was a dumbed down version, for obvious reasons).

I appreciate all the comments. His speech really touched me and is an important message to hear.
